It's time for Who Works Here Wednesday! Today we are getting to know one of our newest staff members, Brandi.

 

What is your job at The Independence Center?

Administrative Assistant to the CEO- I am excited to be a part of an organization that works to have equal independence obtained for everyone so that all of us may thrive!

Brandi R.What do you love most about your job?

I enjoy having the ability to learn all of the management techniques of running an organization. I also enjoy being able to have the flexibility to branch out of my job description and help other departments- like development and grant writing.\

Where are you from?

I am an Air Force brat and have lived in several states. I claim Louisiana and Montana as my homes.

Where did you go to school?

I received my Bachelors of Science in Paralegal Studies from the University of Great Falls in Montana. I am currently working toward my Masters of Science in Organizational Management with a concentration in Non-Profit Management also from the University of Great Falls in Montana.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy hiking, running, cooking, baking, and watching football and wrestling. I also adore spending time with my husband and our dogs.

What is something that others might find interesting about you?

I worked as a Crisis Intervention Specialist on the Montana Suicide Hotline for 2 years. I also worked as the Education Coordinator bringing education and awareness to Suicide Prevention and Sexual Assault Prevention.

How long have you worked for the IC?

I started July 22, 2013.
