A free telephone service that relays calls to and from deaf and hearing impaired individuals.  Enables a hearing impaired person to place a call to deaf individuals, as well as a hearing person to a deaf individual.  There is no charge for local calls.

 

EMERGENCY RESPONSE MONITORS

Provides 24-hour response via a pendant worn on the wrist to be activated in emergencies. There is usually a small monthly rental charge. Coverage is provided by Medicaid, Lifeline Emergency Response System, (800) 842-1393, and Tel-CARE Systems,(719) 522-9779

COLORADO LOW-INCOME TELEPHONE ASSISTANCE

A government program for qualified low income households.  Save up to $16.50 on your basic monthly bill and 50% (half), up to $30, on installation charges.  Those on SSI, AND, OAP, and AB (Aid to the Blind) are eligible. Must be primary phone—land line. Participating cell companies are Alltel (1-800-579-9778) and Northeast Colorado Cellular (1-877-484-2376) (Stores in Brush, Elizabeth, Ft. Morgan, Holyoke, Lamar, Springfield, Sterling, Wiggins, Wray, Yuma).  Check with your cell provider to see if they participate. 1-(800)-782-0721
