With the amount of road closures and flooding, many of you will be taking alternate routes to work, school, home, etc. We want to remind you to always pay attention to pedestrians attempting to cross the street, especially if you aren’t familiar with the road or intersection.
Drivers tend to look the way of oncoming traffic while turning right, and not look the other way for pedestrians, people using wheelchairs, using a cane or working with a guide dog. The end result is people may have a near miss with a car, or worse. We remind and encourage people to look both ways before driving forward.
Stop. Look Right.
