Emergency & Disaster Preparedness
The Independence Centers Emergency and Disaster Program coordinates systems enhancement with local-federal agencies, and synchronizes disaster communications and logistics with other organizations that provide services for people with disabilities. Our mission is to facilitate inclusion and provide solutions for problems associated with emergency management, including – mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
Our program is guided by a consumer advisory group composed of individuals who are subject matter experts on various access and functional needs.
